It also presents an assessment of the German public policy towards the aerospace and defence industry from the perspective of the leading German and global aerospace and defence market participant, i.e. the Airbus S.E. It also outlines the impact of public policy on the importance of the aerospace and defence industry in the industry and economy of Germany, as well as its level of innovation and international competitiveness. In conclusion: since the growth and development of the aerospace and defence industry strongly depends on the orders from the government, it requires a joint effort of the private sector and the public institutions.
