Marichka Vasylyshyn and Sylvain Claessens met in Japan, where they both came to study. She is a smart girl who grew up in Kyiv, in Rusanivka, surrounded by a loving family. Japanese studies struck a chord with her and became her vocation and future profession. The son of a Belgian professor of literature, he grows up in the shadow of his famous father and, when he wins a grant to study in Japan, goes there to finally live his own life and do what he loves. Feelings flare up between young people from different worlds.
